About Your Chef
My lifelong relationship with the culinary arts began in the kitchens of my family’s restaurant in Sag Harbor, New York. It was there that I first mastered the pillars of fine service: meticulous consistency, a tireless work ethic, and the art of genuine hospitality. These values remained my North Star throughout my service in the United States Air Force and later as I refined my craft within Hamptons gourmet catering and private dining clubs in Michigan.
My culinary perspective was forged through high-level mentorship and years of immersive, hands-on experience in these demanding environments. This path has allowed me to transcend the boundaries of a single specialty; instead, I have developed a versatile mastery of diverse cuisines and a sophisticated command of complex dietary preferences.
Since bringing my practice to Louisville, I have been dedicated to creating bespoke dining experiences for clients who value excellence and discretion. I believe a menu should be as unique as the occasion it celebrates, which is why I prioritize sourcing fresh, organic ingredients from local purveyors whenever possible.
Whether I am orchestrating an intimate dinner, a landmark celebration, or providing curated weekly meal preparation, my mission remains the same: to create exquisite food that brings people together and leaves a lasting impression.

The Logo
At the heart of this logo is the Sanskrit word Ahara, representing an ancient understanding of nourishment as the vital energy we draw from the world to sustain both body and spirit. Reflecting Kathleen’s own nature as a Pisces, two koi swim in opposite directions yet remain held in a balanced circle. One fish represents the material world, the earth’s seasonal bounty and the craft of the kitchen, while the other represents the spiritual realm of intuition and creativity. Together, they symbolize a continuous flow between giving and receiving, a reminder that true nourishment has no beginning or end. For Kathleen, the kitchen is a sanctuary and cooking is a dedicated act of presence. Every meal is a transformation of simple, raw elements into a restorative experience. This circle is an invitation to slow down, be cared for, and reconnect with the rhythm of food prepared with love and purpose.

At the heart of my service is a commitment to a truly bespoke culinary experience. Because I focus on sourcing the finest seasonal ingredients and tailoring every menu to your specific preferences and dietary needs, I don't offer 'standard' rates. This high-touch approach ensures that your investment is reflected in the caliber of the ingredients and the level of service provided. I prefer to begin our relationship with a brief conversation to understand your vision, which allows me to provide a custom proposal as unique as the event itself.
